  • To Taste:, Coconut sugar (For sugar syrup)
  • 1.5 oz (40 g) Smoky Mescal
  • 1 oz (30 g) Cointreau
  • 1 oz Calamansi Juice (Freshly squeezed)
  • 1/2 tsp (1 g) McCormick® Paprika, Smoked
  • As needed, Calamansi lime, (For rimming glass)
  • As needed, Salt flakes, (For rimming glass)
  • As needed, McCormick® Paprika, Smoked, (For rimming glass)
  • As needed, Ice

Preparation

  • To make the coconut sugar syrup, mix equal part coconut sugar and water over medium heat, remove when all sugar has dissolved. Cool thoroughly.

  • To prepare the glass, take a slice of calamansi and rim the edges of a margarita glass.

  • Mix the salt crystals and smoked paprika well and dip the edge of the glass into salt.

  • In a cocktail shaker, add Calamansi juice, Cointreau, Smoky Mescal, McCormick Smoked Paprika and Coconut Sugar syrup to taste.

  • Add about 3-4 cubes of ice and shake until beverage is thoroughly chilled.

  • Strain into the Margarita Glass and serve.
