STIR-FRIED BLACK PEPPER FISH

A flavorful home-cooked dish that is easy to recreate with McCormick® Pure Ground Black Pepper. Use it in your marinade and sauce to add bold flavor and create a peppery bite in your stir-fried fish.

  • 500 g fish (sliced)
  • 2 tbsps corn flour
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp McCormick® Pure Ground Black Pepper
  • 10 g ginger (sliced)
  • 100 g capsicums (red and green)
  • 50 g onions
  • 7 tbsps water
  • 2 tbsps light soy sauce
  • 4 tbsps oyster sauce
  • 3 tbsps cooking oil

Preparation

  • Prepare a bowl of sliced fish and add in corn flour, sea salt and ½ tsp McCormick® Pure Ground Black Pepper. Marinate well and set aside for 10 mins.

  • Next, heat a pan with cooking oil and begin to pan-fry the marinated fish slices. Pan-fry till it turns golden brown and set aside.

  • Add in sliced ginger, capsicums and sauté it for 30 to 45 seconds. Add in the pan-fried fish slices and stir fry.

  • Prepare the black pepper sauce in a separate bowl. Add water, light soy sauce, oyster sauce, corn flour and the remaining ½ tsp of McCormick® Pure Ground Black Pepper. Stir well to ensure smooth consistency.

  • Pour in black pepper sauce into the pan of fish mixture and mix well till evenly coated. Remove the stir-fried black pepper fish from the pan and it is ready to be served.
