Enjoy a simple meal all in one bowl with this recipe familiar to Chinese takeouts. Vary the amount of filling according to your liking and you can also make smaller portions for snacking.

Preparation

  • Soak glutinous rice in lightly salted water for a day.

  • Marinade chicken cubes with McCormick® Minced Garlic, Minced Onion, Ground White Pepper, Sea Salt, sesame oil, oyster sauce and corn flour for 4 hours or up to a day.

  • Soak dried mushrooms in hot water to rehydrate them, remove the stems and set aside.

  • Lightly oil rice bowl, place a piece of mushroom, 2 to 3 slices of Chinese sausage, 2 tbsp of marinated chicken cubes and fill the rest of bowl with glutinuous rice.

  • Clingwrap the bowl and steam it for 30 to 45 minutes.

  • Remove the clingwrap and cup over the bowl on a plate to serve.
